Come out and join us at our traditional spot along San Diego Bay for our Annual Picnic by the Bay! Enjoy a casual day in beautiful Spanish Landing Park with family and friends, reconnect with fellow BMW car club members, check out some wonderful vehicles, and participate in our charity auction.
This event is FREE for spectators! This is a family and pet friendly event (use public parking lot). Bring a picnic but please NO alcohol, smoking, or vaping.
For charity
All proceeds will be donated to Shelter to Soldier, a charity for bringing post-9/11 veterans together with trained, rescue dogs to help both recover and move forward.
There will be a silent auction of various merchandise to choose from. All proceeds will be donated to Shelter to Soldier.
Food
Food is being sold separately at the event from Spinning Meats and will NOT be included in the entry fee this year like it has been in the past.
Water will be provided for FREE.
Reservation cost and terms
This event is free to the public however it will be $45 to reserve a spot to display your vehicle on the grass for the day.
You may bring a total of 5 cars to display. Each car is $45.

You must be a BMW CCA member to reserve a spot on the grass. Click here for details on becoming a member.
Only BMWs, Minis, and Rolls Royce allowed.
This event is expected to sell out so register before the grass fills up!

Arrive and departure times
We will have a stricter than usual arrival times for all the vehicles due to San Diego Port regulations. We will only have a 1-hour window to get all of the vehicles onto the grass. We will start accepting cars at 8:00am and will STOP accepting cars promptly at 9:00am. Do no arrive any later than 9:00am!
Walk-ins
Walk-ins (drive-ins) are available on the morning of the event but spots will be limited!
Car judging
Entrants will have the option of entering their car to be judged by the people. We'll ask you at the registration table when you arrive if you'd like to participate and your car will be assigned a number for spectators to vote for your car in one of seven categories. Votes will be tallied during the event and winners will be given cool trophies designated with their winning category!
Event hats
Purchase a branded hat to commemorate your time at the 2026 picnic. Proceeds are donated to the charity. Check back here later for final renders of the hat (you can always add the hat to your registration shopping cart after you've registered). The branded logo will be placed on this Sport Trucker Cap.

Please contact us at info@sdbmwcca.com. Warning that if you wait until the last minute to register and you experience an issue, it could be too late to resolve. You may show up as a walk-in and pay at the event as long as reservations are not sold out.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancel anytime for a full refund up until registration closes on Fri. Aug. 7, 2026 @ 11:59 PM PT. After registration closes, starting Aug 8, you will be charged the full amount.
