Treasurer’s Report:
Our total accounts combined balance was roughly $43,700.
Newsletter:
There was a motion carried to have a November and December issue as opposed to a combined issue.
Auto-cross Chair:
We had 108 entrants at the Sept. 9th autox, and including instructors we had roughly 120 drivers. Matt said that he planned to move the drivers meeting up to 8:15am to get people out to work and into grid sooner. There were some issues with timing, but everything ended up working out fine and they finished up by 5:15pm.
Some suggestions to help the autox run smoother and more efficiently in the future could be to print out course maps, get course set-up volunteers in advance and to not tech cars if they have any loose items in the car.
Driving School:
A motion was carried to accept the Driving School Staffing Guidelines sent to us from National.
New Business:
Scott notified us that the storage unit is doing fine. Scott purchased a new battery for our laptop ($149).
A motion was carried to allow Rich to purchase 4 brand new radios ($1,120) and 8 or 9 batteries for a total of roughly $1,500. Rich also notified us that he is almost done appraising the value of the trailer and all of its contents.
Rich and Nik to decide how many of what size helmets we will purchase. A motion was carried to allow Nik to purchase 20 of the $89 helmets. The helmets will all be open-faced and SA rated 2005 helmets.
Jim Patterson told us that there are no lunch tickets left for the Speedfest. If you are interested in corral passes, please send Jim a request.
The truck and trailer will now be stored at a new location. In exchange for allowing us to store the truck and trailer, a motion was carried to allow the property owner to have free autox and x-car guaranteed entrance to our autoxes for as long as he is storing the truck and trailer.
We will be accepting votes for the final by-laws for about another month. At the October meeting the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer will need to sign the final draft.
It was voted on to have the election meeting after an abbreviated monthly board meeting on Tuesday, December 12th.
