President’s Report:
The Chapter started the year financially low but is doing much better now. An award of $2,000 was received from ZF in recognition of the chapter’s charitable contributions last year. The wine tasting/lunch scheduled for Oct. 28 had to be cancelled due to the wildfires. A number of people that had RSVP’d requested their money be donated to the Salvation Army instead of getting a refund (totalling $358 to date.) A suggestion was made to round up the amount to be donated. A motion to donate $500 to Salvation Army for fire relief was made by Scott Samson; the motion was approved. Dennis Damon made a motion to hold a 50/50 drawing at the Holiday Party and donate half of the proceeds to Toys for Tots; the motion was approved. After some initial discussion of other possible charitable donations, a motion made by Dennis Damon to table discussion of charitable contributions until next year was approved. Maureen Lyall will run the elections for Board of Directors at the December 11 meeting. Proof of current membership will be required to vote.
Vice President’s Report:
BumperDoc has indicated their interest in hosting a tech session for the club at their shop sometime next year.
Autocross Director’s Report:
The October 21 autocross netted approx. $1,700 and a few drivers participated in the helmet decorating contest. There had been some timing problems but they should now be resolved. Autocrosses have brought in approximately $14,500. BMWCCA Foundation trustees will meet in San Diego on Jan. 5; more info to come on a possible social event.
Driving Event Director’s Report:
A date for the Buttonwillow driving school may be available around mid-December.
Newsletter Editor’s Report:
Nothing new to report.
Social Director’s Report:
The wine tasting/lunch tour has been rescheduled for January 27.
Waxmeister’s Report

Webmeister’s Report:
The web site has been updated. The site update notification feature may no longer be working and will be investigated.
Other Business:
Matthew Kogan participated in a BMW club race at Buttonwillow. An inquiry was made about the possibility of the San Diego chapter hosting a club race. Registration would be handled online and the chapter would provide someone as a staff liaison. Matthew will gather more information and details for the Board.
Meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
