Minutes for May 9th, 2006.
Meeting started at approximately 6:40pm.

Secretary's Report:
The April minutes were unavailable at the time of the meeting.
Treasurer’s Report:
Our total accounts combined balance was roughly $40,000. Ping said that he was working to get taxes done by May 15th.
President’s Report:
Maureen notified us that we received a Thank You letter from Becky's House and Mama's Kitchen.
Bi Law Update - It was found out through National that we officially don't have bi laws. Therefore a set of bi laws will need to be created. We would like to have it available to the board members by July.
Newsletter:
There is no additional information at this time.
Auto-cross Chair:
Gordon wasn't present at the meeting, but we were reminded that we have a 2 day autox (June 3rd and 4th) as well as another autox on July 8th.
Driving School:
There is no additional information at this time.
New Business:
George Georges said that he would be willing to host an "All Women Tech Event" at his facility PEG Autogroup either in September of October. Details to follow.
George proposed a member-only email list. He said that he is going to make an article in the next newsletter for people to put themselves on the mailing list.
Mike Turpen will research prices for a storage units to possibly house our records and other club items. We will discuss this further at the June meeting.
Matt wanted to notify us that Dave Turner Motorsport will be moving to a new location. For information contact sales@jmcmotorsports.com
Old Business:
Maureen wanted to remind everyone that we haven't forgotten about the name bagdes, and that the first group of badges should be available soon.
Also, the new business cards and letterheads came out very well, thanks to Connie.
Social Events:
The club is currently brainstorming for future social events such as a possible comedy night, Padres game and a wine tour. More information on events like these will be available soon.
Upcoming Events:
Dennis reminded us that the Clean Car Contest will be held on May 21st. More details can be found online.
We were also notified that on May 29th the Julian Classic Motoring Show will be held, For more information, visit www.julianclassic.com
The Drive for the Cure will be held on Sept 14th and the 16th here in San Diego. On the 14th, the cars will be at Cunningham BMW and on the 16th, at Harloff BMW.
Also on the 16th of September will be our, now annual, Parts Swap meet, held at Bavarian Mastercare.
Recap of Recent Events:
Andre notified us that the Poker Fun Rally was a great success. 43 people and 25 cars showed up. It ended up costing $1100.
The Street Survival got postponed, due to a lack of participation. The event will most likely be pushed back another 6 months or so, and there is a possibility that they might move it to a venue in Chula Vista.
Webmaster:
Jim has brought in a more updated version of the survey results. It seems as though people generally want more car control clinics, tech sessions and even a dyno day.
