BMWCCA San Diego Chapter – Board Meeting Minutes for March 13, 2007
Meeting began at approximately 6:40 pm.

Secretary's Report:
The February minutes were distributed and approved without change.
Treasurer's Report:
$12,974.80 was reported in the checking account and $13,653,74 in the CD, for at total of $26,628.54.
President's Report:
The Club's liability insurance does protect the Club, officers, and facilities, in the event of an accident at a driving event, but does not cover any damage to vehicles. Arrangements are being finalized for the Club President, Vice-President, and Treasurer to attend the BMWCCA National Congress on April 20-22, 2007. Information on upcoming events being submitted to the newsletter should also be cc'd to the President to ensure the event calendar is kept up-to-date. Upcoming events include a Tech Session/Open House at Automotive Perfection on April 29. A Tire Tech Session is still being planned, along with a possible Dyno Day. A new May 27 autocross date has been added.
Vice President's Report:
Welcome letters continue to be sent out to new members, with the formatting receiving considerable praise from the President. The status of club decals will be investigated for inclusion in the welcome letters.
Autocross Director's Report:
The first 2007 autocross event, held March 3, attracted over 90 participants. Upcoming dates are March 31 in South East lot, and May 27 in the West lot. There were some timing problems during the event; the Autocross team will research options to replace the timing software and integrate it with the timing equipment.
Driving School Director's Report:
The application for Buttonwillow Driving School is up on the web site and acceptance packages are being prepared. The next committee meeting is April 5. The event will be advertised at the Las Vegas Chapter's Driving School on March 17.
Newsletter Editor's Report:
No new information to report.
Social Director's Report:
A date to attend a Padres game was suggested for the Saturday, Aug. 4 game against the San Francisco Giants. June 10 was selected for a Sunday brunch drive to Pine Hills, in Julian area. Shows being considered for a Civic Theatre event include Chicago, Stomp, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
Waxmeister's Report:
The Peterson Automotive Museum Tour is scheduled for April 15 at 1:00, in Los Angeles, followed by lunch at nearby Tom Bergin's Tavern.
Webmeister's Report:
The Buttonwillow Driving School now has it's own page on the website.
