Auto-cross Chair:

Gordon reminded us that we have an autox coming up this month on the 25th in the west lot. He also reminded is that our next autox will be a 2-day autox on June 3rd and 4th. A motion was carried to invite the Mercedes Club to the autox on Sunday and reserve 10 spots for them.

Driving School:

A motion was made an approved to have Gary Basey represent us at the SD Automotive Museum Car Club Advisory Council meeting.

Andre reminded us that there will be a Poker Run on Sunday, April 23rd, at Continental Motors in Oceanside. More information about this event is posted online. Andre's budget for the event is roughly $800.

Matt notified us that the Street Survival, teen driving clinic will be held on Saturday, May 6th, at Qualcomm Stadium. So far there has been 6-8 entries, and students are encouraged to bring the car they drive on a daily basis. Students must be at least 16 years old and have a learners permit. More information, including registration sign-up, is located online.

Social Events:

Dennis reminded us that our annual Clean Car Contest will be held on Sunday, May 21st. The club voted on, and approved a motion to charge $5 for lunch at the event, and have the club subsidize the remaining portion ($8).

Webmaster:

Our website has been fabulous.

Other:

Dan Tackett led a discussion brought to the boards' attention regarding the possibility of our past election having been run incorrectly. It was eventually voted upon to not re-do the elections, but to elect a committee to edit/revise the By-Laws. This will hopefully prevent any such discrepancies in the future. The members on the committee will be: Nick Veler, Mike Turpen, Andre Pantic, Chris May, John Driscoll, Patrick O'Hagan, Jurgen Gluhr and Maureen Lyall.

There was also a discussion held about possibly offering a discount to CCA members who are currently students. It was obviously a topic that needed more discussion, so further discussion was postponed until the April meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:25pm.
