Newsletter:
Bill notified us that he purchased the new software, and is still getting used to it. All articles for the upcoming newsletter must be received no later than 7/17. A motion was approved to spend an extra $300/issue for metal plates for clearer pictures.
Auto-cross Chair:
Because of the incident this past Saturday, Gordon filed an accident report on the BMW CCA website. There were no injuries associated with the incident, and course workers reacted appropriately. All information related to this incident will be archived for safe keeping and possible future reference.
The autox committee met before the regularly scheduled meeting and informed us that there will be 2 more autoxes this year. We plan on trying a new format by changing corner workers while the course is hot. We will be able to host up to 100 cars. They plan on letting the first 10 x-cars in guaranteed. Gordon will not be able to attend the September autox, so Matt will be hosting it.
Driving School:
There is no new information to report at this time.
New Business:
Andre told us that there is no set date for the upcoming rally as of yet, but he still plans on late October. Mike Turpen volunteered to help Andre organize the Padres event. More information about these events will be available at the next meeting.
Chris notified us that we have more advertisers than ever. Chris suggests that if you have any articles to submit to the newsletter, that you do so to help balance out the ads/articles.
Old Business:
Dennis read a very nice letter from the United Ostomy Association, thanking us for the donations.
The By-Laws committee has had 3 meetings so far. Draft copies have been handed out to board members for review. If there are any questions, comments or issues that you see, email John Driscoll. The committee will be having another meeting in 1.5 weeks. Tom Newport will notarize the final document.
Upcoming Events:
At the beginning of the meeting, a local representative from the Susan G. Komen foundation gave a presentation on the Drive For The Cure event. The event will be at Cunningham BMW on Sept 14th, and at Harloff BMW on Sept 16th. Our club will most likely source volunteers to transport the cars from Cunningham to Harloff, and possibly from Harloff to Orange County.

Webmaster:
Jim informed us that he added search capability to the website. The past minutes are also available online. He also plans on making a sponsors page, with advertisers logos and possibly links to their business websites.
