BMWCCA San Diego Chapter – Board Meeting Minutes for Dec. 11, 2007

Meeting called to order at 6:35 p.m.

Secretary’s Report:

The November minutes were distributed and approved without change.

Treasurer’s Report:

The checking account balance is $14,592.20; the CD balance is $7,826.57. Total account funds = $22,418.77.

Regional Vice President's Report:

The search for a new Exec. Director is now down to two candidates.

President’s Report:

A decision on charitable contributions from the club will be made at the Jan. board meeting. Holiday greetings will be sent to local BMW dealerships. Reports required to be sent to national BMWCCA will be going out early next year.

Vice President’s Report:

Nothing new to report.

Autocross Director’s Report:

The final autocross of the year netted $2,200. For 2007, autocrosses generated $16,700. Scheduling for 2008 dates is expected around mid-December. The BMWCCA Foundation meeting on January 5 is open to all club members.

Driving Event Director’s Report:

The Buttonwillow driving school is scheduled for July 19-20. Information was presented about possibly hosting a BMW Club Race; there will be further discussion at the January meeting.

Newsletter Editor’s Report:

Nothing new to report.

Social Director’s Report:

The rescheduled wine tasting/lunch tour will be January 27; RSVP's are needed as soon as possible. Dates for a Padres game will be discussed in January.

Waxmeister’s Report

Next year's holiday party is planned for Dec. 14.

Webmeister’s Report:

The site update notification no longer works and another solution will be investigated.

Other Business:

Mike Turpen has club name tags available for those who are interested.

Annual Election Meeting:

The meeting was turned over to Maureen Lyall to conduct the elections for Chapter Board of Directors. Unanimous votes were cast for President (Gordon Anderson), Vice President (Kim Wright), Treasurer (Chris May), Secretary (Lisa Goehring), Social Director (Tom Newport), Autocross Director (Dan Tackett), Webmeister (JIm Patterson), Waxmeister (Dennis Damon), Driving Event Director (Andre Pantic), and Newsletter Editor (Bill Woolard). Director-at-large positions were won by Jurgen Gluhr, Matthew Kogan, Nick Owen, Mike Turpen, and Ted Lange.

Meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
