It’s time again for everyone’s favorite event--our annual Runoff Autocross! This is our eighth runoff event that honors the memory of Rug Cunningham, founder of Cunningham BMW, now BMW of El Cajon.

Eleven drivers will qualify for our 2015 Runoff by winning their car classes. The winner of the Runoff will get his or her name on the perpetual trophy and will receive a personal trophy to display proudly and commemorate the event. Our format includes one practice session for all drivers, followed by three timed runs to determine trophies for this event. The first-place winner of each car class earns a runoff position in the afternoon. As all other drivers continue to enjoy fun runs in the afternoon, each runoff contender will drive the same “mystery” car. The driver with the best time will be crowned our 2015 Runoff Champion.

Registration is $65, signup online at Motorsportreg. We will take 100 drivers, any car type is welcome. Your fee includes muffins for breakfast an a sandwich for lunch. The day will include 8 practice runs and 3 timed runs.

Autocross is an opportunity to find out what your car can do in a controlled and fun evnironment. We encourage first time drivers, we provide instructors to get you quickly up to speed. Registration opens on May 11 at sdbmwcca.motorsportreg.com
